Birthplace of the Royal Flying Corps in 1912. Friday afternoon began with a cloudburst. The evening started with “Amadeus” at the Salisbury Playhouse. There were a number of aircraft problems: Dr Lelouch, President of L’Association Aeromedicale de France, gave up, and Drs Fisher, Ramsey and Lim finally arrived by road. Tour of Wilton House on Saturday afternoon, followed by cocktails and a seven course gourmet dinner and dancing to live music in the Officers’ Mess. Tour of the Army Air Corps Museum at Middle Wallop on Sunday morning, then back to Netheravon for an excellent talk on the Army Air Corps by Major Ray Stenning.
