More information

The British Medical Pilots Association was founded in 1966 to provide a forum for academic and social interchange between professional colleagues with an interest in aviation. The Association aims to promote improved knowledge of aviation medicine and high standards of safety in the aviation environment.

The Association is a corporate member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and is a member of the General Aviation Safety Council (which is sadly about to cease activities).

Membership of the BMPA is open to any member of the medical, dental, or veterinary community, qualified or in training, who holds or has held a flying licence.   Civil Aviation Authority approved Authorised Medical Examiners are also eligible  to join.
